Dr. Ates' research focuses on pasture and grazing management for improved animal production and product quality. His current research interest includes;

  1. Novel pasture and grazing systems
  2. Animal-pasture interactions, in particular intake, diet preference and behavior grazing ruminants
  3. Evaluation of tannin-containing legumes for livestock grazing
  4. Management of self-seeding annual legumes in permanent pastures
  5. Dual purpose and cover crop grazing
