While the name of the department has transformed through the years, the dedication and passion of graduates in Animal Sciences and Rangeland Sciences has made the program one of the best in the United States.

The Department of Animal and Rangeland Sciences is thankful for generous support from alumni and friends. Through the OSU Foundation, we have been able to establish named funds and endowments in honor, or, in memory, of friends, alumni, and faculty. These funds help enhance support for our students and programs including:
- Travel expenses for student research and presentations at national and international conventions
- Support for student research under the mentorship of a faculty member
- Purchase of specialized equipment
- Improvement of facilities
- Inviting academics to lecture and meet students
