Research

My research centers on rangeland vegetation and arid land plants.  I am interested in studying the ecology, eco-physiology, and consumption of these plants as affected by different forms of management or environmental variation.  Since 2007, when I started my research at OSU, I can group my research in four programs:

  • Groundwater utilization and plant water relations
  • Arid-land plants of economic importance to Mexico
  • Sagebrush consumption by cattle by DNA diet determinations
  • Rangeland invasive plants/weeds
    • Exotic annuals
    • Juniper
