About the Steer-A-Year Program

The Steer-A-Year program at Oregon State University is both a club and a course. Students get the opportunity to run a small cattle feedlot situation and learn about the beef production industry in the Pacific Northwest. From the feeding of the steers, to the cutting and sale of the retail beef itself, members of Steer-A-Year are immersed in every step of the program and get to experience every facet of beef feedlot operations.
